informs about Chalice veils of Danske Kunstindustrimuseet, Kobenhavn In Lutheran churches very elaborate textiles are not common, therefore scarce in the museums. The only one in Kunstindustrimseet is a modern chalice veil, designed and executed by Gertie Wandel, the founder of the Danish Handicraft Guild in 1928. The veil was made around 1939 for a church near Copenhagen in the memory of a deceased brother. |
