    Tapisserien des 16. Jahrhunderts aus dem Kunsthistorischen Museum

    Verlag: KHM-Museumsverband, Wien / Gestaltung: Michaela Noll, Wien ISBN: 978-3-99020-098-8
(Quelle: )

This new festival, scheduled with a 4-day programme, aims at expressing the importance of textiles in its diversity. The festival will help safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage of the world, a. o. represented by individual creations such as Lao, Miao or Fulani Wodaabe family embroidery from Asia resp. the Sahara region.
    Addressed are contemporary artists, designers, crafts-people, manufacturers, dealers, collectors and museum people from the five continents. The Musée Bargoin with its important textile collection in the former textile production area around Clermont-Ferrand will be the centre of activities like exhibitions, shows, conferences, discussion rounds, residency workshops and markets. A participative approach will characterize the event. Contact: HS Projets, Ms Christine Athenor, tel: +33/953891798; e-mail:;
