   Museum Catharijneconvent, in addition to its permanent collection, also has temporary exhibitions.

  Never before have so many splendid works of art from the famous Novodevichy Convent in Moscow been on view in the Netherlands. This summer visitors to the Catharijneconvent in Utrecht can view ninety icons and fifty other magnificent works of art, including jewellery, books, crucifixes, cups, bowls and liturgical robes. Many of these objects have been lavishly decorated with silver, gold, pearls and precious stones. This major summer exhibition Splendour of the Czars is a unique opportunity to admire these treasure from Russia in the Netherlands.
