Transparent Insight

(EinBlicke - DurchBlicke - AusBlicke)

29 January until 30 March 2003

The second juried quilt exhibition took place on the occasion of the 10th Patchwork and Quilt Seminar at the "Schwäbisches Tagungs- und Bildungszentrum", Irsee, organised by Dörte Bach.

The theme was insprired by the wrought-iron gates in the west wing of the monastery, dating from the time of Bernhard Beck, the imperial abbott from 1731 to 1765. Trough this ironwork one can look IN, THROUGH and OUT, suggesting all the connotations of TRANSPARENT INSIGHT.

The competition was open to all textile artists and entries were recieved from all over the world.

The jurors were: Christiane Brendel, Flora Fassnacht, Jill Seer, Dörte Sternm-Straeter, Christine Köhne, Dörte Bach

A postcard-catalogue accompanies the show.
