8th Intl. Triennial of Miniature Textile Art

  This is the fifth presentation of the results of this competition (8 editions in total) to be shown at the Musée Jean Lurçat.

Applications were received by 585 artists from all over the world. Seventy pieces were selected for the exhibition, most of them from Europe followed by Japan, the USA, Latin America and Australia. They included work by well-know and less well-known artists, both from the older and the younger generation.

This yer the museum staged a parallel exhibition of 30 small-format Japanese works selected by Hiroko Watanabe.

 

  This exhibition will be presented for a second time at the St. Gallen Textile Museum in 2006.
