I am glad, that curators and specialists again helped with news and contributions. Many thanks to all of you who sent information of exhibitions, book reviews, meetings.
Please continue to inform me about chalice veils, textile exhibitions, books, courses and conferences.

Book cover
measurement: 16 x 11 cm, cross stitching in both directions. 10 to 11 stitches per cm. Silk and metall embroidery (gilt silver stripes) on undyed linen (?).
The cover belongs to a psalter from Tournai around 1270-80, but had different owners.
Question: Has anybody come along a similar object. The author thinks about a dating in the 16th century, but it could also be end of 19th century.
