Bulletin d’Information de Groupe Broderie de CIETA

No 26
June 2006

Dear members,
I would like to draw your attention specially on the exhibition in Deutsches Textilmuseum Krefeld.

Europäische Stickereien aus der Sammlung des Deutschen Textilmuseums, 1650 - 1850, Deutsches Textilmuseum, Krefeld, Germany, 21 May until 20 August 2006

Please note that the exhibition definitely is about European Embroideries from 1650 to 1850. (in the newest CIETA Gazette No 39, of May 2006 the title was misunderstood)
And it is accompanied by the catalogue:
Europäische Stickereien 1650-1850, by Uta-Christiane Bergemann;
catalogues of Deutsches Textilmuseum Krefeld, vol. 2, Krefeld 2006;
266 pages, 187 catalogue numbers, with coloured photos and a glossary.

The CIETA Embroidery group is planing a meeting on 4th and 5th of August in Krefeld. Ute Christiane Bergeman will show and explain the exhibition. It is still possible to register, as at the moment we are only a very small group. It is always a very great opportunity to study exhibits together with the specialist himself who was responsible.

Best wishes, yours
Anne Wanner
